Overview

Santa Cruz de La Palma, capital of the island, has been declared in its entirety as an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of Complex Historical-Artistic. It is a place worth visiting for its colonial style. Its streets cobbled streets, stately houses with interior patios, charming squares and wooden balconies adorned with flowers. Its O'Daly Street and Anselmo Pérez Brito Street and O'Daly Street (Street Real) form the two main areas that we will pass through to complete our tour.   • Plaza de Vandale

    Located on an old site where the Captain Jacques de Brier. When the The City Council acquired the site and named it Vandale in homage to the famous lineage of origin Flemish. Its paving stands out, made of callao, pebbles or rounded edges from the coast of the Island. The botany, with its flamboyant trees, famous in the world for its characteristic foliage and flowers orange-red in color.   • Santa Cruz de la Palma

    First Democratic City Council in Spain elected by universal suffrage. Built in 1567 after a fire that destroyed part of the City in 1953, its 2-story façade is the best example of Civil Renaissance architecture of the Canary Islands. The spectacular mural stands out in the hollow of the staircase, work of master Cossío. Of its Heritage, the Royal Banner of the Island of La Palma, as well as a seat of 17th century country wood and portraits of the Catholic Monarchs.

  • Plaza La Alameda

Very Informative and Interesting Tour

This was a very informative tour around the pleasant and attractive town. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about La Palma and its history. Certainly worth doing this tour if you want to know more about the history of this beautiful island.
