The most amazing architectural building in the whole world. This place holds so much history and its so sacred and amazing. Its worth every penny. Luckily I didn't wait long unlike other places, its on my must visit every time I visit Istanbul

The Hagia Sophia in Istanbul is a breathtaking masterpiece blending history, religion, and architecture. Visiting with my husband and kid was such a memorable experience. The grandeur of its massive dome and the intricate mix of Christian mosaics and Islamic calligraphy left us in awe. Walking through centuries of history together made it even more special. A must-visit for families!

A must see in Istanbul

I could not come to Istanbul without visiting the Hagia Sophia; I was nervous because it's double the price to buy your ticket online, and the line in person is very real. The only time I saw it short was only one day at 8am--and not any of the others. Luckily for me, I had a tour guide who was able to buy a ticket without waiting in the ticket line. From there, the entrance line happened to be short. I highly recommend this. As of earlier in 2024, the ground floor is no longer open to non-Muslims (or non-Turks?). But you can still see it from the upper floor, which has the famous mosiacs an breathtaking architecture. And yes, women need head scarves, though they have some you can borrow. Once your in, I would recommend spending maybe an hour inside.

Hagia Sophia is absolutely magnificent! The mix of Byzantine and Ottoman architecture is stunning, with incredible mosaics and grand domes. Walking through its halls, you feel the weight of history and culture. It’s a masterpiece that leaves you speechless. It was beautiful!
