Overview

Explore the Dominican nature and culture while having fun driving your own ATV through local villages, fields, mountains and down to the beach. The tour starts with driving through the small local village Maimon. You will explore the Dominican nature and culture with a stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you learn about cigars, and getting sample of organic hot chocolate and coffee. At the stop there is a small shop where you can purchase local products. There is a stop at a local beach where you can go for a swim if you would like to. Please remember to wear clothes that you don't care about, because you will get dusty and dirty.

  • Maimon

    The fun adventure starts just 10 minutes from Amber Cove and 30 minutes from Taino Bay in a small village called Maimon. At the home base you will get your gear and a few safety instructions before you head off into the countryside. The tour starts with driving through the small local village Maimon. You will explore the Dominican nature and culture with a stop at an authentic little cigar rolling shack where you learn about cigars, sample of organic hot chocolate and coffee. Family Fun

The staff were so friendly and attentive. This excursion was the definition of going above-and-beyond. We had a family of four, at all experience levels, and we were all able to have fun! It’s the best way to experience the jungle, towns and beach, while having the fun and excitement of driving ATVs. Truly impressed.

Had an absolute blast! Walter was patient and attentive! From Walter, to the young camera/video man, to our van chaperone and driver...everyone was amazing. I highly recommend!

Excellent tour! Pick up and drop off were on time! Communication started about a week in advance with instructions for pick up. Location was less than 5 mins from the ship. Track that we rode was not too long or too short but just right! We rode through some water and mud but still managed not to get as dirty! Would absolutely go again and recommend again. Money well spent. 2 adults and 3, 17 year old teenagers!

Best tour/excursion on our whole vacation! We had an awesome time riding ATV’s through town, back country, to the jungle, and out to the beach. Super cool beach and the jungle was awesome for quick gifts to support the community and a cultural experience with coffee, cigars, and chocolate. Our guide Chris was the best! He made the tour so much more amazing he was charismatic, fun, and knowledgeable. Stopping throughout the tour to show us local growing agriculture and telling us about the island and sharing about his life. We would literally go do this tour again and again anytime we visit Amber Cove for the ATV’s and Chris! This is a must do!! Great value, great fun! Stop by the bar after for drinks or waters all the staff working there is kind and attentive : )
