Itinerary

  • Sacsayhuaman

The archeological site of Sacsayhuaman, located on a high hill above Cusco, is characterized by colossal stone pieces weighing several hundred tons. Inca builders cut and polished these huge stones to form into terraces of zigzagged walls that extend hundreds of feet. Although only a small portion of the original site remains,

    1 hour

  • Q'enqo

The Quechua name Qenqo means ‘labyrinth’. In the worldview of the Andean culture, this place was built to invoke the ‘kaypacha’, the legendary serpent that gave rise to life. The Incas gave great importance to ‘Kenko’ and its underground tunnels because they believed that the caves communicated the world of man with the world of the dead. Currently it is one of the most visited archaeological sites in the city of Cusco

    30 minutes

  • Pucara

Puca Pucara is an Inca archaeological site located on the outskirts of the city of Cusco, which houses different areas such as squares, water channels, bathrooms, terraces and even an ancient Inca road that was part of the network of Inca roads’ qhapac ñan ‘. Its buildings were built with small and medium-sized stones. The ‘Tourist Ticket of Cusco’ allows entry to this and other places such as: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo and Tambomachay.

    30 minutes

  • Tambomachay

Tambomachay sits on a hill about 4 miles north of Cusco, at about 12,150 feet (3,700 meters) above sea level. The structure consists of three stepped terraces of precise Inca stonework, with trapezoidal niches built into some of the retaining walls. The whole thing is built over, or into, a natural spring, which continuously feeds a series of small aqueducts, canals, and waterfalls built into the terraces.

    40 minutes

  • Pisac

7 View The Pisac ruins are among Peru’s most intact ancient sites, and a perfect example of ingenious Inca architecture. They are built on top of a mountain that towers over the small town of Pisac; the views of the countryside are spectacular and the ruins and their makers are remarkable. They’ll be the highlight of your trip to the Sacred Valley, and the charming, hippy town of Pisac will inevitably tempt you to stay for a couple for nights longer than you had originally planned.

    1 hour

  • Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo

Located at a major point of transit between Cusco and Machu Picchu, the town of Ollantaytambo is often overlooked in favor of more exciting destinations. But travelers who choose to stay and explore this historic place are rewarded with a unique view of small-town daily life in modern Peru.

    1 hour 30 minutes

  • Chinchero

Chinchero is in the middle of weaving in Peru. Chinchero cooperative was one of the most fascinating and encouraging sites in which women entertained vacationers with weaving demonstrations and by using introducing the strategies of yarn washing, death, and knitting. The ladies of all ages dress in the conventional costume of every age had been there, displaying how the weaving works on some shape of the loom. They may be extraordinarily friendly with exceptional lectures approximately the production of such beautiful, lovely, and complicated things. There’s no fee for demonstration classes, and excursions also are offered with a drink.

Amazing!!! The trek went above and beyond all as per our expectations. Mike was the absolute best!! He was a knowledgeable, professional guide at every turn about the people, history, and all of the area. His patience and kindness were amazing! He truly set the tone of the expedition as any good and competent teacher does so well. We learned a tremendous amount from him throughout the trek. Our Chef William and his team prepared all of our meals artfully of culinary and deliciously. The presentation was beautiful that makes the taste even better!! We could not have asked for a better experience. Throughout our journey we felt safe, enthusiastic, and Happy .Highly recommended!!!
