Overview

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to visit the abovementioned sites in a modern air-conditioned van. Then drive you back to your hotel .Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s pillar, the Serapeum ruins, the new Library of Alexandria (Bibliotheca Alexandrina), the fort of Qaitbay and the National Meuseum.Start your tour with exploring the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the seven wonders of the Middle Ages, dating back to the first century A.D. Then Pompey’s pillar dating back, most probably, to the end of 3rd century and the remains of the Serapeum, the ancient temple of god Serapis, in the neighborhood. In the same area scattered monuments dating back to different periods.In ancient times and since its foundation the Library of Alexandria was not only the biggest library but also the most important university. In our times the gigantic new Library was inaugurated in 2002 and it is a must see in Alexandria that you will visit and a have a guided tour inside it.

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to visit the abovementioned sites in a modern air-conditioned van. Then drive you back to your hotel .Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s pillar, the Serapeum ruins, the new Library of Alexandria (Bibliotheca Alexandrina), the fort of Qaitbay and the National Meuseum.

Alexandria, Egypt - A Must to Experience!

Alexandria was amazing and the weather was beautiful. ☀️ Our tour guide, Salah did a fantastic job in making sure my mom and I were comfortable throughout the entire experience. He told us about the history of the place, made sure we could ask him questions on the catacombs, Citadel of Qaitbay, and the library - he really provided an atmosphere of engagement. We felt very comfortable and safe with him - we would recommend him as a tour guide.

Being experienced travelers traveling all over the world, the best part of this tour was having an experienced, knowledgeable, intelligent and competent guide such as Salah. He was able to provide all types of information that we inquired about. He not only provided facts but made them into stories that pertained to every day knowledge to make it memorable. He also was an extremely kind and caring individual as my parents are both elderly and need help. He gave a helping hand with no problem at all. Egypt was a dream trip for all of us and the experience we received on this tour did nothing but make the dream come true.

Full day private tour of Alexandria . Swam in the Mediterranean sea, explored the cattacombs and had a fabulous seafood meal at lunch time. Our guide Salah was amazing! So knowledgeable and professional. He even took us for coffee at a historical cafe. A day to remember.
