Overview

We are the pioneers of NYC food tours since 1999! Our tour will not only leave you full with EIGHT TASTINGS (not samples like on other Chelsea Market tours), but will include under-the-radar historical tales of Chelsea Market, like how it used to be a factory for Nabisco and the origin of the Oreo cookie. In addition to the trendy and bustling spots on the main floor, we will also visit Chelsea Local downstairs, where locals actually shop for their food. 8 tastings are included with this tour with two opportunities to sit down. All tastings are done inside Chelsea Market. We will make sure you leave full and satisfied with a buttermilk biscuit, homemade Italian crostata, NYC #1 hot dog, Pizza, Gelato and much much more! Once outside, walk on the High Line, NYC’s elevated public park. You’ll hear compelling tales of the rail line that once served the West Side’s factories and butchers. You’ll wander through the Meatpacking District and find out how this area went from not to hot!

Fun way to see Chelsea market and understand the history of the area

It was a lively walk through the market and a portion of the Highline. The tour was very context heavy, with lots of fun details about the history of the market, of the area and the vendors. In reality you don't move all that far, so it accommodated people with various levels of fitness / mobility. Our tour guide, Joe, was a font of knowledge and brought a great enthusiasm to the morning. As the food goes, there were a few standouts, especially the pizza

Went on the Chelsea Market and Highline tour in December 2023 (sorry for the late review)… we had a fantastic time. Plenty of time for photos and to eat. Our guide had some fantastic stories of his time filming different tv shows there as well. It was fascinating to hear the historic story of Chelsea market as well as getting a fantastic lunch as well. Highly recommended to anyone in NYC who is looking for a great tour and some great food.

This food tour was extraordinary. We learned all kinds of food facts, learned all about Uneeda Baking and Nabisco, had tons of fun and did not leave hungry. Robin did such a great tour!!
