Overview

I will accompany you on a culinary journey, exploring the gastronomic and Cultural beauty of Syracuse. The visit includes the explanation of the monuments of the old town starting from the local market of Ortigia and a tasting of Sicilian local products. A perfect mix between food and history with a local professional guide with a big passion for food and interesting stories.

    I will explain you the most interesting monuments of the historical center of Ortigia, like this greek Temple considered the oldest of Sicily.

    We will pass from one of the most interesting monument of Ortigia, where you can admire 4 different styles all mixed together, you will feel the perfect greek atmosphere admiring the Temple of Athena perfectly mixed with the Byzantin, Norman and Spanish style.

  • Fonte Aretusa

    You will admire the Aretusa fresh water spring close to the sea, to appreciate the lovely greek legend connected to the spring and see the beautiful Papyrus,the egiptian plant introduced by the Greeks.

Wonderful experience

This was a fabulous tour. Letizia is extremely knowledgable about Sicilian cuisine and products and passionate about the subject. She has an easy manner that enables her share her assign and experience with participants. So glad we did this tour and would absolutely recommend it.

We spent a wonderful morning with Letizia exploring the local food market and trying many Sicilian foods at local eateries. Letizia is incredibly knowledgeable and very fun to spend time with. She even bought us an enormous sandwich for our lunch!

Letizia was a wonderful host; very knowledgeable and willing to answer all our questions. We certainly didn’t go hungry with many stops to sample the local produce. Don’t eat before the tour! Thoroughly recommend!

Fell in love with Ortigia!

Where do I start? We had the absolute best time with Letizia as our tour guide. Her knowledge of Ortigia along with the food helped us fall in love with this beautiful area of Sicily. She took us to the local market, we ate some of the most delicious street food, pastries, and tried some beautiful wines. We even arrived at a bakery just in time for us to try cookies hot from the oven!! We learned so much from Letizia that we decided to stay an extra day just to explore on our own. I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour again on our next trip to Syracuse.

Letizia combines vast knowledge of Ortigia's (and Sicily's) history, food, and culture into a wonderful, satisfying tour. My 23 year-old daughter is an adventurous eater, and Letizia made sure she was able to try many local delicacies. The tour was well-organized and paced perfectly. Don't eat before this tour...you'll want to be hungry for the many delightful treats Letizia arranges for you to experience!
