Overview

Discover the Naples most beloved street food with a local guide on our 2.5 hour walking tour. This city is famous as the Italy’s culinary capital with the authentic gastronomic traditions and family recipes passed down the generations. During this tasty tour, you will dig deep into Neapolitan food culture and see the city through its traditional cuisine. Strolling through the old and picturesque streets of Old Town you will stop in various local eateries, carefully selected by your knowledgeable guide. You will try the local specialties such as fried pizza, meatballs, ‘tarallo’, fish “baccalà” and much more. The classics of Neapolitan pastry such as “Baba” and “sfogliatelle” will enrich this delicious gastronomic experience. On your tour you will combine food tasting with sightseeing. Your guide will show you the best food spots as well as the most interesting landmarks of the city, including Via dei Tribunali, Piazza Bellini and Via San Gregorio Armeno.

    The meeting point of the Street Food Tour is Piazza Bellini next to the Greek Walls. Named after the composer Vincenzo Bellini who studied at the Naples Conservatory, this square is a vibrant area full of students.

    You will pass by one of the most important music school of taly formed in 1808.

  • Chiesa San Domenico Soriano

    You will see the beautiful baroque church built by the Dominicans in 17th century.

  • Via San Gregorio Armeno

    You will walk through one of the oldest streets in Naples with many artisan shops selling handcrafted statuettes. This street is also famous for its historical Christmas Market. As you walk the backstreets of Naples old city center, your expert guide will share with you curiosities, facts and stories about the sights you pass and the food you taste.

Great stops on this tour. Zinzi was my favorite stop. Isabella was very knowledgeable regarding food and history. My only suggestion is providing napkins because some of the food can be messy. Great time with a great group of people.

Our guide Sara was fantastic. Fun, friendly and very informative. We loved the 2 and a half hours we spent on this tour.

We went for a tour with Daniella, who was an exceptional guide; really lovely and knowledgeable about the area and the cuisine. We went on our first day in Naples and it was a really good way to get to know some of the city. We had 4 vegetarians in our group (you need to let the tour guide know in advance if you have dietary requirements or allergies) and this was catered to really well and we were able to have something good at all the stops with alternatives served when the rest of the group had meat options. The food was delicious and we returned to the Limonchella place a few days later as it was so delicious! I highly recommend this tour, it was totally worth the cost and I would definitely do it again.

I wanted a quick walking orientation of the Centro Storico and not to have to figure out dinner on my first night in the city. Was not disappointed in either but was surprised by how much *fun* the tour was. Sara, our guide, was a total sweetheart. Was also blown away by the amount of food - really generous portions, incredible value. Vegetarians will be more than provided for (vegans may struggle). Would highly recommend this for anyone new to Naples.
