Overview

Try the traditional Dresden Christmas Stollen or warm up with mulled wine. Get into the Christmas spirit with a visit to one of Europe's most famous Christmas markets in Dresden, which has a tradition dating back to 1434. Dresden is one of the most charming and attractive cities on the Elbe. Be enchanted by them during a tour of the historic center, after which we will immerse ourselves in the whirlwind of the unique atmosphere of the Christmas markets. Itinerary: - Hotel pick-up at 8:00 am - We will park the car at the parking lot Centrum-Galerie (Prager Straße) - We start with a historic center tour - After the sightseeing tour, we will visit Dresden Medieval Christmas Market - Stallhof and the oldest Christmas market in Germany the Altmarkt Christmas Market - When we're all in the Christmas spirit it's time to head back to the car - Hotel drop-off approx. 5:30 - 6 pm

Semper Opera House (Semperoper) (Pass By)

The Semper Opera is the opera house of the Saxon State Opera. The architect Gottfried Semper first built a theater on this site, but it fell to ashes in 1869. Semper then designed an opera house in its place. The Semper Opera House has a long history of world premieres, including major works by Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss.
The Dresden Zwinger (Pass By)

The Zwinger is a complex of Baroque buildings with a garden in the Old Town of Saxon Dresden. It is one of the most significant construction works from the Baroque period in Germany. Next to the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger is the city's most famous landmark. Originally, it was supposed to be the courtyard of a magnificent castle, but it was never built.
Dresden Castle (Pass By)

Dresden Castle or Royal Palace is one of the oldest buildings in Dresden, Germany. For almost 400 years, it was the residence of the electors and kings of Saxony from the Albertine House of Wettin as well as the Kings of Poland. It is known for the different architectural styles employed, from Baroque to Neo-renaissance.

Hofkirche is a baroque Catholic church. It is the largest temple building in the state of Saxony. It has been the cathedral of the Dresden-Meißen diocese since 1980.
Augustus Bridge (Pass By)

The Augustus Bridge is a monument that co-created the history of this significant Saxon city. The stone bridge was built around 1287, but it probably existed as a wooden one before that. In the Middle Ages, it was the longest stone bridge in Germany and was 521 meters at the time (according to other sources, it was even 40 m more).
Bruehlsche Terrasse (Pass By)

The terrace, nicknamed the "Balcony of Europe", stretches high above the banks of the Elbe. Originally, it was part of the Dresden fortifications, which was bought in 1739 by Count Heinrich von Brühl.
Albertinum (Pass By)

The Albertinum is a modern art museum. The sandstone-clad Renaissance Revival building is located on Brühl's Terrace in the historic center of Dresden. It is named after King Albert of Saxony.
Frauenkirche Dresden

A symbol of the Saxon metropolis and one of the most important Baroque buildings in Germany. The dome of the church is one of the largest north of the Alps. You can optionally ascend to the viewing platform of the dome. A height of 67 meters offers a stunning view across the city of Dresden and its surroundings. (Adults: 10 euros)

Fun in Dresden

My family and I had a wonderful time in Dresden. Ondrej was our tour guide and he was very friendly and informative. If you like shopping Christmas markets and want to learn a bit of history especially the reconstruction of Dresden post WWII you will enjoy this tour. I would highly recommend.

Very Nice Day Trip to Dresden

We really enjoyed the day trip to Dresden from Prague. Ondrej is a great tour guide very friendly and very flexible in his tour programme. It was only me and my wife on the tour. Hence, he was very flexible with us in regards to the tour programme. I recommend this tour if you are staying in Prague for more than 3 days and would want to see another city close by.

We were picked up at the hotel on time by Ondrej. He was very professional , excellent driver , and explained all the sites .He gave us plenty of time on Dresden .we loved The Christmas markets, the history of Dresden and monuments, the bakeries . Our way back was smoothly . Great time. I will recommended 100 % Jesus

One of the best Christmas Markets in Europe . Great choice of food, souvenirs, drinks. Very authentic. Set at the plaza in front of the historic Church and the old town. Highly recommend even as a day trip.

Ondrej was our guide and everything was exceptional. All other tours are not as perfect as this one. Everything ran on time and we were very well looked after. Ondrej was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all of our needs. The markets were a must-see experience that were magical. Ondrej also runs additional tours upon request and was only too happy to help us with our questions and needs. He made our holiday very special. Thank you, Ondrej.
