If you’ve never been a Donny Osmond fan, you should still consider catching his highly acclaimed show.
From a cute little boy on “The Andy Williams Show,” and a teen heart throb, Osmond has matured into an impressive singer-songwriter showman who now arguably stands as the preeminent Star in residency on the Vegas Strip.
“Donny” at Harrah’ is a fun, show that ranges from a nostalgic retrospective of hits to soulful piano solos and, of course, glitzy production numbers with first-rate musicians and dancers. He weaves fascinating personal stories throughout the 90-minute show. And on the night I attended, he sauntered into the audience three times to interact with the crowd.
Osmond comes across as a fun, energetic and genuinely nice man who loves what he does.
Among my party of two women and two men, only one was a Donny Osmond fan before the show. After the curtain fell, all four agreed it was a great show and now consider themselves fans.
