My sisters and mum did the tour to Hue and Hoi An last weekend. Our tour guide was Lam. He was witty and friendly with a vast knowledge on Vietnam's history. He brought us back to the past on the kings in Hue at the Citadel. He also shared his favourite food spots and taught us to eat like locals.
He continued to pique our interest the following day when we visited My Son Sanctuary, explaining the Champa tribe and showing us the remaining temples.
We ended our tour at Hoi An, with a delicious meal of grilled pork wrapped in rice paper, followed by a cuppa of salt coffee.
This is a tour that is highly recommended, we went at our own pace, and were able to stop and savour the local cuisine anytime we want. Lam was always patient and accomodative throughout the 2 days.
