Overview

Escape to one of the greatest experiences in Johannesburg. The Cradle of Human Kind and Lesedi Cultural Village. Get a taste of these on the same day. We will start things off at the Maropeng Visitor Center to learn about the discovery of real fossils. We will then pump gas and head to Lesedi cultural Village to catch the breathtaking two hour show. We will learn about the rich black culture and experience the best dance show in the world from an african Perspective. We will also get an opportunity to have lunch in the cultural village with a few domestic and game meats to tease our appetite.

Not to be missed

We consider this tour one of the highlights of our recent trip to South Africa. The Cradle of Human Kind was so informative with great displays. The timeline portrayed makes you realize how miniscule our part is. The Lesedi Cultural Village was very informative about the various villages and the host was so entertaining bringing us into each culture. It's a bit of a drive but well worth it

We really enjoyed this trip. The Cradle of Humankind really helps you understand our origins and connections to all of humankind. Lesedi Cultural village is a great opportunity to understand the cultural traditions of local tribes. I am glad we took this tour and recommend it.

Unforgettable cultural tours

This tour covers two parts in different locations. In the Craddle of Human Kind Tour, I saw a great deal of audio and video displays on the early stages of our ancesters. Very nice. The villeage guide for the Cultural Village Tour talked clearly and in a humorous way and about their dwellings and customs. Interesting! The tour guide, Ali, picked my wife and I up from the hotel with just two of us in the group. He has a broad historical and geographical knowlege to answer our questions. We chated through in the car on the way to the touring sites and also on the way back. I give him five stars.

Cradle of Human Kind was an excellent presentation of the history/ evolution of the human species. Thoughtful well planned exhibit for all ages.
