Itinerary

This canyoning is intended for those who wish to have the first contact with the activity. It is an easy and accessible route and has a duration of 2h/2h30. This canyoning is located in the Center South of the Island, more precisely in the "Parque Ecológico do Funchal" Along the route, together with all the natural obstacles, four abseiling’s shall be encountered, the largest of which with 15 meters. The abseiling’s are alternated with jumps to small natural ponds as well as toboggans

Perfect first canyoning experience

This was our first time canyoning and we had the best time. We've done Via Ferratas before with rapelling, but not in a river like this before. A lot of it was similar to just scrambling through a river, but the rappels down waterfalls and jumps were the best part. Our guides were great and made sure everyone was safe.

Booked a trip to Madeira just to do this!

We had a fantastic time doing this “sport” for the first time. Andre and Marco made it fun and safe for everyone. They are excellent guides, who made us laugh but take this sport seriously. We are a family of 2 fit young adults and their middle-aged parents who are trying to stay young. I literally booked a trip to Madeira just to do this activity - so glad we all had a blast!

Me and my 11 year old son did this activity together. It was our first time canyoning and it was so much fun! I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and I managed to complete all of the abseils and jumps!

Our guides were so patient and helpful. They made sure everyone was safe and could keep up with the group while having a great time! This does require some light hiking so just keep that in mind when you are booking. This is a must do activity if you are visiting Madeira!

Daniel was an amazing guide. I did not anticipate being as scared as I ended up being, and I completely lost it at the first waterfall. Daniel talked me through it and helped me all through this experience. By the end I felt confident and was enjoying something that seemed so terrifying when we started. Do yourself a favor and BOOK THIS—you won’t regret it!
