Overview

Combine two great sightseeing excursions on this cross-border day trip from Puerto Iguazu to the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls and the Itaipu Dam. First, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Iguazu National Park and get up close and personal with the majestic Devil’ s Throat. Then, head over to Itaipu Dam and explore the largest operational hydroelectric power plant in the world. The plant is responsible for supplying 90% of the electricity consumed in Paraguay and 25% of all the demand in Brazil. As an engineering work, it was chosen by the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineering) as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern Technological World.

Despite no correspondence prior to pick up time in morning had to callViator and emergency no, night before plus a 20 minute late pickup in morning, the trip to the Brazil side of the Falls was worth every . The Dam add on too as we were only ones on that excursion with the group and they gave us our own Taxi driver to take care of us for this part. We didnt get back to accommodation until 6.30 pm but driver handled everything. Great value for money.

Best tour we did whilst in South America. So different from the Argentinian side. Trip to the power station was just mind boggling, so big, just opened your eyes to what man is capable of.
Guides helpful and friendly plus good English.
