This tour is a perfect blend of biking through Ottawa’s beautiful waterfront pathways and green scenery, visiting some of the city’s trendiest and vibrant neighbourhoods and stopping to capture some of the street and public arts. Ebike add-on is available upon request! Biking beyond Ottawa’s downtown on our super comfortable bikes, you'll truly experience nature in the heart of the city as we take you through Dows’ Lake, the lush green spaces of the Arboretum trees and experimental farm. Get a sense of local life and culture as our storyteller guides bike with you through quaint streets of Centretown, the Glebe, Little Italy, and Hintonburg neighbourhoods and show you some of the most interesting buildings, street arts and local eateries and shops. This tour is refreshing and fun and will satisfy your curiosity about locals and beyond the touristic scene of Ottawa!

We are located at 65 Sparks St. which is a pedestrian street between Elgin and Metcalfe. We are a few steps away from the Parliament Hills and the National War Memorial.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great time and good experience. The staff knew what you are looking for. Very highly professional staff and good bike.

Great tour, nice and relaxed, small group and very informative. David our guide was just great. We covered approximately 20k (13 miles) over 3 hrs. Mainly flat with a couple of ramps up. A nice snack was provided. Bring your own water though.

This bicycle tour was fantastic. Everyone at Escape Bicycle Tours from Maria on down was so friendly and helpful. This is the BEST way to see Ottawa. Mike our tour guide was very knowledgeable, very sweet and great with my teenage boys. Would definitely do this again.

We had a terrific guided tour around Ottawa which set us up well for the rest of the week on our rental bikes. Great bikes. Great people. Made for a wonderful week of biking despite the weather!

Exploring Ottawa on a Bike - Escape Bicycle Tours

I highly recommend Escape Bicycle Tours for anyone who is looking to explore the great city of Ottawa. My wife and I had an amazing time riding paths, trails, parks, streets and the neighborhoods with Nora. She made it a lot of fun, with stops along the route she let us know historical facts and answered any of our questions. The Escape bike shop was a welcoming place, staff were friendly. We rode Marin city bikes and they pedaled and rolled real nice, high quality and comfortable to ride. Thanks Escape and Nora for making the bike ride the highlight of our getaway. We will be back!
