Lovely day trip around Garrotxa near city of Girona

Dani was our guide and he made sure our day trip was a great one. We explored Castellfollit de la Roca, including a very old, still working bakery and from there we visited the bridge of Llierca. We did see the BesalĂș, however, there was filing for a TV show happening in the town that day, and were unable to visit inside the city. Not to worry - Dani quickly altered our plan and we were able to visit Olot and the medieval village of Santa Pau instead. Our final stop at Lake Banyoles was beautiful. Dani made sure we were all comfortable (picked us up in a new mini-van), well fed and hydrated, and he provided just enough information along the way to keep our interest. He also piqued our interest to explore more of this region.

Excellent day trip

For our short stay in Girona, my wife and three teenage boys were keen to see the historical side of the region so we booked a tour with Girona Explorers. Dani picked us up in a very smart and comfortable mini-van. Dani took us to some wonderful places and the kids were blown away by the history and the scenery. He is a very relaxed but informative guide and we enjoyed his company. On reflection this day trip was one of the highlights of our European holiday.
