Taste a variety of snacks/street food like the famous Koulouri, a favorite Greek bread sesame ring. Sample a traditional Greek pie with crispy filo pastry while exploring the Central food market area (closed on weekdays/Saturdays after 4pm and Sundays) where local sellers offer the best Greek ingredients and Athenians do their daily shopping. Savor Souvlaki in pita bread, the quintessential Greek street food and you will find out what the famous Peinirli looks and tastes like. A delicious, fluffy Greek style pizza boat with a special cheese mix and crispy dough! For those with a sweet tooth, it's time for some Greek dessert! Try loukoumades, the Greek version of donuts, crisp and golden on the outside and soft on the inside! We were upgraded to this tour and were so glad. It was great. Our guide, Lukas, gave a little history lesson at each stop, kept us safe and VERY well fed. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

Arrive hungry! You’ll get real portions at these stops! Katarina was wonderful! She took us to all the best spots, taught us the history of the foods, and adjusted based on our pace (if we took longer at one place, she would call ahead and put our order in at the next stop). We experienced so many Greek favorites in just one night and found the happening pockets of night life among Athens’ winding streets. This tour is a must if you’re new to Greece!
