Overview

This tour is a fun and interactive way for the whole family to explore Athens. It allows families to get out together, get some fresh air and learn about Athens’s culture and history as a family. The children will not only have the chance to try new foods that they probably wouldn’t have the opportunity of tasting, they will also get to learn about where foods come from and how they are prepared, in an interesting and interactive way. Meet at Acropolis for a delectable breakfast of Greek yoghurt served with honey and nuts. Stroll through the scenic, tiny neighborhoods of Anafiotika and Plaka known for their islandic beauty and learn about ancient Athens and its history whilst taking in breathtaking views. It’s safe for kids and there are many great photo opportunities!

Wonderful private family food walking tour

Kate was such a wonderful, kind, thoughtful guide - like walking with a friend showing our family around her city. We booked a private family morning tour to beat the heat as much as we could - she was very patient and understanding of touring with a child under 5 years old. I highly recommend booking a private a tour if you’re able to for a young family. Someone like Kate permits the space to go at your pace, is engaging with your child, and information is still wonderful to learn from throughout the walking journey. We would book with Kate when we return. Hopefully maybe even see her on an adventure somewhere even!

Fantastic food and walking tour

It was really informative and fun. Morning tour was great to avoid the heat. Make sure you come hungry, there are so much food you won't be able to finish. My suggestion is that you save the koulouri (sesame bread ring) for later, as the big meal at the tavern is very close. Our guide Maria was fantastic, very knowledgeable and great with kids. Gave us many trousers hints and tricks. Also the walk around the "island" neighborhood was fantastic, just beware that there are many steps involved.

Fun walking tour of Athens, beware there are many steps. You do have a sit down meal so I would recommend not eating too much early on. We had a really nice time and would recommend this tour.

Great way to see more of Athens, different things and chance to chat with a local. So much yummy food! Meat and fish market a bit underwhelming but understand with time of year, local vacations and we did the afternoon tour.

A winner with children

There was so much food it did us for lunch and dinner (and we'd only had a pastry for breakfast). Katrina was really engaging and managed to keep both kids engaged the whole time (despite the kids struggling to sleep the night before). We also included some history /culture information on Greece/Athens. We all loved it. I'd highly recommend it
