Russell was so professional and his knowledge of Tauranga and its history superb. The mini bus was air conditioned and comfortable, and his commentary clear through the p.a. system. So refreshing to be able to hear and understand every word! He guided us around the city of Tauranga and its sights, telling us of missionaries, soldiers and Māori battles, and then out to Te Puna to a Kiwi fruit farm, where we admired the abundant fruit growing on vines, and learnt about their cultivation. We heard of yellow and red Kiwi fruit, and will watch out for them in supermarkets - they are yet to ripen and be available this year.
There can be no better experience of a taste of Tauranga!
