The tour guide, Nina, is knowledgeable and well-versed in the history of Lviv. We learned a lot about the formative stages of the city’s foundation and had the pleasure of entertaining ourselves with keen insights Nina provided on a number of different subjects. Her narration technique is enticing and she is very accommodating. Highly recommended :)
I took this tour in mid-January 2025. The guide was on time during pick-up. He spoke English very well and also French. He was really knowledgeable about everything that happened during the Russian occupation of the Kiyv region and took the time to explain everything to me. He also had a tablet with films on the different moments of the occupation. The places visited are very impressive. I was also able to see some Banksy paintings. I highly recommend this tour and this company. I will not hesitate to perform other tours with it. Malek from Switzerland.
The private transfer from Luxor Airport to our hotel was impeccable. The driver was punctual, polite, and professional, ensuring we had a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Super interesting and different experience in Kyiv. The bunker is full of artifacts and huge. The sewer trip down the manhole is a very different experience, make sure you are reasonably fit for it! You are given the overall boots so you don't get wet, make sure to take a belt to attach them to. Guide was chilled and showed me a lot of interesting things.
What a marvellous unspoilt gem of a city. I first went in 2017 and wanted to go again in 2024 to see how it was coping with the Russian War. It was fine, It didn't feel any different to 2017. We were there for a week and just soaked up the atmosphere, enjoyed the people, shopping and great restaurants and coffee. Even getting in and out wasn't as difficult as i had heard. It was worth the effort. Pray for victory and reopening of the airport, then i will be back every year!
Unfortunately Anna was unable to take us on our tour, which I had booked at short notice, but she arranged for her colleague Taras to take us instead. Taras’s tour was excellent, both informative and fun, and he gave us several suggestions of things to see and do in the old town after our tour.

Our guide Svit was not just a cool guide, he was exceptional. His knowledge of Kyiv's history, culture, and hidden gems was impressive. The tour included a visit to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, this extensive complex with stunning churches, museums, and the famous Lavra Caves - it's a true highlight of the tour. Svit navigated us through this site, sharing captivating stories and historical context. Svit's friendly and accommodating nature made the tour feel like a journey with a knowledgeable friend rather than a standard guide. Overall, this tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to discover the heart and soul of the Ukrainian capital.
The surrounding area was well-kept and clean. Maintenance was on-site when I checked in to make sure AC was working properly (no problems there, we were cold during our entire stay). The placement of the cottages is such that you have to close the curtains at all times or the neighbors can see straight in, and vice versa. We stayed in the cottages as a special treat for our son’s birthday and because we went to Worlds of Fun two days in a row. Check-in time is an hour later and check-out time is an hour earlier than I normally see, but I bet it’s closely related to the park hours. Still a little inconvenient seeing as the property is much more expensive per night than the average hotel or Air Bnb. You’re paying for location, and it served our purposes, but we won’t do it again!
Was contemplating a visit but didn't see the point considering the Tour Guide doesn't even know the country's history, oh dear how embarrassing!!. Just for the record & quick history lesson The Ukraine was one of Germany's closest Allies through the war & Hitler was a hero to them, I believe your army cadets are called 'Hitler Youth' in his honour, even today. Plenty of libraries in Ukraine so a visit is a must ok.
We had an amazing day-tour with Gamma travel. We visited the main famous spots within the exclusion zone. Our guide Alex explained everything very well and he did a wonderful job going in depth in Chernobyl’s story. He explained a lot of background, allowing us to learn a lot and gaining more background to the disaster. We highly recommend this tour with this tour company when visiting Kyiv.
