It is a very basic tour if you go in the morning. I had given it 3 stars but I received pressure from the company to give it 4. Our tour guide Raj was very friendly and the service was great but you only get the full experience if you go at night. Lunch was also very basic.
This is the perfect tour for a short stopover. I had around 6 hours, and that was plenty to see the highlights of the city. I was able to curate it as I wanted, which was perfect. Waleed, my guide, was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He was kind, and I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. One piece of advice: if you are doing this tour while in transit through Kuwait (layover, stopover)- make sure to ask (in advance) for an address to put down on your visa form (visa is given on arrival in the airport).
I had a wonderful afternoon / evening on this tour with Walid in Kuwait! He drove me to a number of places to eat, including two large meals, to give me a taste of some local / regional foods like majboos, shawarma, and knafeh, and traditional tea and coffee. In between the delicious food stops, Walid was kind enough to drive around the city, pointing out important buildings, giving me a great background of the history of the country, and stopping at a few scenic points for pictures. These small side tours gave me time to digest as there was a massive amount of food offered, and Walid was very open to suggestions if there was something you wanted to see / eat. I highly recommend this tour for travelers hungry for information as well as yummy local treats!
What a fantastic way to see Kuwait City while also having great memories photographed! Mr. Waleed is very prompt and professional in assisting me, he contacted me weeks before regarding the shoot and even provided info about getting visa for Kuwait. Abdul the guide was on time and showed me great spots in Kuwait! This tour is worth the money! 5 stars!
Very good guide. speaks good understandable English, talks interestingly, drives by car to the best viewing platforms, museums, historical sites. We saw the real Kuwait from a bird's eye view, saw the old market and numerous palaces. Thank you!!!!
This was a good trip which covered the main highlights of Kuwait City. It is interesting to see how the country is progressing and developing in the last few decades. Really enjoyed the drives through the city and the guide was excellent. He gave great talks and information on the history of Kuwait, and it was interesting to hear the details behind iconic buildings in the city.
Enjoyed the oil and gas exhibit as I thought it was quite interesting. Seeing the amount of oil extracted per second in Kuwait was super cool. The Martyr Museum looked impressive from the outside, but sadly was already closed when we arrived. Thus, paid full price for only half a tour. :-/ Fine tour if you have some extra time or are really into Kuwaiti history of culture. Might be just as easy to rent a car and go yourself.
