A fantastic day seeing the real Fiji
Today, our cruise ship was scheduled to stop at Port Denarau, but due to the cyclones in the area, it was deemed too risky for us to disembark via tender boats (water taxis). As a result, we docked at the wharf in Lautoka instead. We were informed of this change just yesterday, February 28th. We reached out to Off The Grid Tours to notify them.
Saki from Off The Grid Tours showed incredible compassion and understanding. He had no hesitation in adjusting our pickup location, despite it being about an hour away from the original port.
Saki picked us up from the wharf and maintained a positive attitude throughout the day. He was not only kind and knowledgeable but also a joy to converse with. He shared fascinating insights about the culture of both the indigenous Fijians and the Indian communities in Fiji.
Thanks to Saki, our day was a very positive and memorable experience, offering us a genuine glimpse of Fiji beyond the typical tourist attractions.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Off The Grid Tours to anyone interested in experiencing and learning about authentic Fijian culture.
