The best day I had in Fiji! You get to ride up the mountains on the way to the village. The views alone are amazing but you get to see so many cool things along the ride. The village was spectacular, you get to experience a kava ceremony which I will forever cherish. Thank you to my awesome tour guide Sara, you were incredible. You made me feel relaxed and safe. You won’t regret this tour.
On the way to get the beach was smooth, the bus picked me up as the time the operator told me, but I didn’t know about the return, like what time the ferry comes and which bus I could take to the hotel. Actually there are 2 choices to get the return. I’m happy tort earlier one because I got tired that time. And the inside of the bus was freezing cold… I was happy to carry some extra towels with me. Otherwise it was a fabulous experience!
There is nothing else to say except PERFECT. This was such a fantastic tour from start to finish. Pickup and dropoff at the airport was on time, food was delicious, island was beautiful. We did this because we had a 12 hour layover. You can pay to store any luggage at the airport to jump on this tour with a daypack. I would do this tour over and over again!
Good tour of western Fiji. Village tour very interesting - good to see normal life. Beautiful botanical gardens at sleeping giant mountain. We elected to skip the mud pools - advantage of private tour. Buddhist temple was beautiful and colorful - be aware no shoes or shorts allowed. Food at nena’s was excellent. Driver had wealth of knowledge about Fiji. Great trip!
We took this your 2 years ago and brought friends this time as well as adult children. Long drive to and from (3 hours one way from Denarau), but scenic and bus was on time and comfortable. It rained terribly the whole drive out, and ponchos were given to us for the river ride. Path to waterfall was washed out due to mud slide so we did a pivot. Headed back to village via bamboo raft. Enjoyed a delicious meal, saw traditional dancing, tapa art, palm fronds weaving, coconut husking. Felt very spoiled.
Today, our cruise ship was scheduled to stop at Port Denarau, but due to the cyclones in the area, it was deemed too risky for us to disembark via tender boats (water taxis). As a result, we docked at the wharf in Lautoka instead. We were informed of this change just yesterday, February 28th. We reached out to Off The Grid Tours to notify them. Saki from Off The Grid Tours showed incredible compassion and understanding. He had no hesitation in adjusting our pickup location, despite it being about an hour away from the original port. Saki picked us up from the wharf and maintained a positive attitude throughout the day. He was not only kind and knowledgeable but also a joy to converse with. He shared fascinating insights about the culture of both the indigenous Fijians and the Indian communities in Fiji. Thanks to Saki, our day was a very positive and memorable experience, offering us a genuine glimpse of Fiji beyond the typical tourist attractions. By far the best part of my trip to the beautiful islands of Fiji. The staff was amazing. Extremely professional and friendly. I was picked up and dropped off at my resort. The views were majestic, the plane ride was a treat in its own. The jump was a thrill of a lifetime. I’ve jumped tandem half a dozen times in the USA and nothing compared to my experience with Sky Dive Fiji! The landing was on point and the memories priceless. My instructor was phenomenal! This was a unique experience. Although I have done many skydiving trips, this one still left a deep impression on me. But it was new to my partner. She bravely chose the ultimate height of 13,000 feet. I am proud of her. Our instructor was patient and responsible, and brought us back to the ground safely. Enjoy the beauty and magnificence of Fiji from a high altitude. I recommend everyone who comes to Fiji to experience it. Yes, it is worth it, even if you only have one in your life.
This was such a cool, authentic experience. The guide was absolutely amazing, and so knowledgeable. I would encourage you to bring a change of clothes and dry shoes. It was such an authentic experience eating real Fijian food, in one of the villagers homes. We felt like a guest, not a tourist. Would definitely recommend and book again.
We had an amazing experience. We were traveling with two small children and Rakesh made sure everything was as seamless as possible. Pick-up/drop-off were easy and the ride was prompt and safe. Rakesh runs a great, honest business and I would highly recommend for any Fiji transportation needs.
