What an afternoon! We had the most amazing time with Kyle and Andrew. They did such a phenomenal job! They were professional, personable and fun. We appreciated their knowledge of the area, the water conditions and their emphasis on our safety. They also were wonderful in explaining how to interact with the stingrays and starfish. This is a core memory for our family and one we won’t forget! Thank you for making this one of the best highlights of our time here!
I love spending the first morning of any place getting an overview from a local. John showed us ecology, history and made great recommendations on where the locals eat. The bikes were a lot of fun and easy to get around in places we would not have seen otherwise. 10/10 recommend!
Our guide Ryan was great. It was so fun to experience these areas in jet ski vs. a boat. Even got to stop at Rum Point for a frozen drink. One thing that needs improved is the specifics of number of jet skis. I assumed that two adults = two jet skis and was not till the morning of did the operator confirm a double jet ski, and hitch I did not notice I have a 16 year old that was looking forward are to driving their own. Ryan was great and let me ride with him in the way back so my son could have a little be more fun. All in all a great experience.
James made an amazing trip for our family. Knee so much about the sting rays and even introduced us to some of his favorites. Next to starfish point which was something we've never done before. Finally a quiet area of snorkeling was able to see turtles, squid, so many fish. Would highly recommend this charter!!!
This was one of the most amazing excursions my friends and I have ever been on. This past May, my friends and I did tour number 5 with Captain Marvins. This included three stops: snorkeling, stingrays, and starfish! While booking this excursion, I made sure to select the hotel I was staying at and Capt. Marvins came to pick us up right in the lobby. Our drive was very quick and we got right on the boat to head out. The boat was beautiful, although the staff truly made the experience what it was. Kevin, Joyce, Patrick, and Mitchell were our guides for the day and we could not have been happier. Each and every one of them were so kind, happy, and personable. Patrick was an excellent captain and made sure to get us to each and every one of our stops safely. At our first stop to go snorkeling, Kevin jumped right in the water and found conch shells for us to hold, and brought us food to feed the fish! Our second stop, to see the stingrays, was one of the most exciting parts about this excursion. At first, it can be a little nerve racking to be around so many stingrays. But Kevin was so amazing with every guest on the charter. He made sure to teach us about the stingrays first, and then taught us how to safely interact with them. Mitchell was in the water providing us with food to feed the stingrays, and made sure to help us with anything we needed. We were able to have Joyce take pictures of us holding the stingrays, and even kissing them for our seven years of good luck! Finally, our third stop to the starfish ended our excursion on such a great note. We got to hold the starfish, take pictures, and even walk to a close by spot to get food on the beach. We are so happy to have gone with Capt. Marvins on this excursion, and would absolutely recommend it for anyone visiting The Grand Cayman Islands!
We booked this to avoid crowds and to maximize what we could see and it did not disappoint! Captain Mike was great! He knew the island well and helped us choose what to do. We knew we wanted to do Stingray City and Starfish Point. We checked out Stingray City first and it wasn’t too crowded. He helped us feed them and hold them and explained a ton about the area!! We then headed to a great snorkeling spot!! After to Starfish Point. He also told us the food boat was best wings on the island and he was not wrong! Best wings I’ve ever had! We got to be on our own time with things which was nice. He was mindful of our return time to the boat (on a cruise) and really great with everything. Thanks for a fantastic excursion!!
My husband and I had wonderful time! This was our first time taking a 3 hour private tour and we highly recommend. The boat was immaculate and well taken care of. Alex was polite and professional. His love for the island showed in his knowledge about marine life and other aspects of the island.
Had I known there would be a couple of hours of driving and waiting involved to do the third part of the tour-the caves, we would have only done stingray city and starfish point. The guides on both were extraordinary, so this is no knock on them, but on the tour organizers. Dropping you off at Starfish Point, walk through the woods to find a driver, then ride to caves, wait for the cave operator to drive you to caves…I get that it may be part of it, but again, had I known so would have made a different decision. The worst though was being dropped off at some (not inexpensive) restaurant for 45-60 minutes to wait for a boat to pick you up?? The driver had no idea what was going on, not apparently did the wait staff at the restaurant. All very awkward and time-consuming.
