It was an adventurous day of wildlife viewing. Our guide Lee was excellent and provided just the right amount of I formation about the environment and the animals.

Luca's wildlife knowledge is outstanding, we got to see Lions, Buffalo, Hippos, Elephants, Zebras, Wild dogs, Hyenas, Leopards, just to mention few. He is also a professional photographer, so he always placed the vehicle on the perfect spot with great lighting to get great shots. His team was always ready to help you and greet you with a wonderful smile and professionalism. The camp sites excellent and always clean. We had outstanding meals! You forgot you were camping due to the excellent atmosphere and kindness. Your job is to be kind, on time and enjoy it!! Lucas and his team do the rest!! No words to express my gratitude.

Gliding around the Delta.

A good way to see the Okavango Delta. Peaceful and enjoyable. Our guides, including Lesh, were outstanding. Special mention to Mr. Kenny, who is an exceptional driver. Recommended!

3 days in the Okavango – nature, wildlife, and great people

I spent 3 days on a camping safari in the Okavango Delta with my family and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the peaceful mokoro ride through the waterways to the thrilling game drives in the national park, every moment felt special. The landscape is stunning and full of life. Our guide, Master, was incredible - deeply knowledgeable, passionate, and extremely skilled at tracking animals and explaining everything we saw. He knows the area inside out, which meant we got to see a wide variety of wildlife and truly understand the ecosystem. The camping setup was beautiful and comfortable, accessible to everyone regardless of experience. The whole staff was lovely, very attentive, kind, and full of small thoughtful touches that made us feel well taken care of. The food was excellent, and the group of fellow travelers made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're considering a safari in Botswana, this is the one. It combines nature, adventure, and genuine hospitality in the best possible way!

12 out of 10!

Our driver Leo made this trip phenomenal! Due to his expertise and driving skills we spotted leopard on two different occasions, lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, impala, kudu, warthog, jackal, buffalo, amazing sunrises and sunsets. The food was really really good! With so many options to choose from when going on safari I absolutely recommend Kalahari Tours! Great experience!

Fantastic experience seeing giraffe and zebra from horseback!

We LOVED our horse ride with kalahari breeze. I am an experience rider, but my husband has never sat on a horse! We chose the 2 hour ride. The stable and private game reserve are only 45 minutes from Maun. We were collected from our hotel. After a quick hello we were saddled up and off into the bush. As there are no predators in this conservation, we felt perfectly safe. It was wondrous to be on horseback observing antelope, wildebeest, ostrich, giraffe and zebras! The intimacy one feels on horseback cannot be matched. No vehicle- just you and nature. We were able to ride up close to the animals who were unperturbed by the horses- and the horses by them. The horses are lovingly cared for and this operation has 56 horses- their main business is longer multi day horse safaris. But if you only have a day in Maun, like us you can experience the beauty and wonder. Plus, my husband loved it and he felt perfectly safe and secure on his spotted Appaloosa horse.

Fantastic cultural tour and experience- highly recommend

An absolutely fantastic tour ps led with fascinating information about Botswana culture and traditions - including the negotiation for bride price even modern women like our guide and business owner Kay will do- where the uncles from prospective bride and grooms meet to negotiate bride price (valued in cattle) to the three months isolation a new mother and baby take part in to the two types of justice - social justice is administered within a day by the chief of one of 28 principalities and uses communication, cooperation and forgiveness to restore harmony - and civil law involving police and courts. We learned to weave baskets with local tribe sisters, ate local traditional food, visited a street artist and a local market and more. I highly recommend this tour- even if you only have a few hours in Maun Kay and her team will collect you at the airport. Support this entrepreneur and the local craftspeople and businesses she features!

Best Safari day

Amazing safari day with Rennes! My guide was very knowledge and gave me plenty of insights on wildlife in the park. We were very lucky and managed to see several lions, other than plant of other animals. Highly recommended!

Very well planned and organized trip!

I am so glad I did my Google searches and found this company. They are great for doing all the activities you want and seeing everything on a limited budget but still comfortable and with excellent guides. The food was fabulous and we couldn't believe it was cooked on a bush stove! Our guide Thata was friendly and enthusiastic with great young eyes that spotted everything! Our favorite the we saw were a leopard and cute little lion cubs in the Okavango. That camp is more permanent so the tents are slightly bigger and more comfortable. Our guide for Khwai and Savute was Clifford. He was very chill and mellow. My friend had a little crush on him. He was very experienced at seeing and finding wildlife so we saw many animals there as well. The trip started with an overnight under the stars in the makgadakgadi pans. Maria did a wonderful job planning that at the start of our trip as the moon was still a crescent so we were still able to see so many stars! It also got us accustomed to many hours riding in the jeeps and vans to get there, 3 hours on the paved road then an hour 45 minutes from the gweta Lodge to the salt pans. It was totally worth it! We got to see meerkats on the way back which was my main goal for that part of the trip. Obviously there are no bathrooms in the pans and the toilet they set up was... rustic. We were so very pleased that the rest of the trip had much nicer toilets. The tents run by Kalahari Breeze had an open air bathroom with walls but no roof. It has a nice little drop toilet with a bucket of dirt to cover things. The showers are innovative. They fill a large bag with hot water and there's a little handle on the side you use to turn the water on which goes through a shower head. We loved the "bush baby" hot water bottles they gave us each morning and evening to keep us warm. Each back has a crew of 3 that handles cooking, set up, water, and other needs. They were all so friendly and welcoming! We felt it was a really great way to see Botswana, in between the self drivers who had to do everything themselves and didn't have a guide spotting animals and giving great information and the expensive lodges you fly between which are so very expensive. The accomodations and activities they set up for us in Victoria Falls were fabulous. Everything was really well planned. I recommend adding on the helicopter tour for $150. Thanks Maria for setting up a wonderful trip that we will remember for a lifetime!

Start your adventure in Botswana with this trip!

Perfectly organized, adventurous experience with our great guide Timmen. He took us on several hikes to spot animals, birds and enjoy the stunning nature of the Okavanga Delta. The camp was with new tents and basic facilities and amazing food prepared by the great Chef. To our surprise the tents were cleaned after we came back. It was a thrilling experience to get there by small boats and we had an opportunity to do the polaring of the boat ourselves. Very difficult! The guides take turns to give others in their community an opportunity to do the guiding. They are committed to learn others about nature and wildlife in a sustainable way of tourism. At night you could hear the hippos communicate and even a lion roared through the night. Thank you Timmen & colleagues of Mosu!

Great opportunity to experience Okavanga Delta with a professional guide

Shaba was our amazing guide for this day. It is a long journey from Maun. We were picked up around 5.15 from our B&B. Shaba provided us with ponchos we could use to keep us warm for the first leg of the trip. We arrived at the gate around 845. That was also a bit later than expected because we already spotted so many animals even before we reached South Gate. A part of the road is very bumpy and it made it quite tiring. We received a lovely breakfast at the gate and used the bathrooms. The rest of the day we drove around and admired the changing and beautiful nature of Moremi. Shaba was a great and safe driver. He was very patient with us and gave us many opportunities to stop and take pictures. He was very knowledgeable about animals, birds and the surroundings. It was an overwhelming experience to see so many beautiful animals. The park was not busy and Shaba choose a different route when we encountered another car. We had a delicious picnic lunch halfway. We were dropped off at our B&B in Maun at 19.00. A long and unforgettable experience at Moremi with Mosu!

Highly recommended safari

We had a great morning on our safari and rhino walk. Emmanuel and Emma were fantastic guides. Very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions. Brian was a great driver. Being escorted by the guards with their rifles to see the rhinos was a very special experience.

Flawless organisation and a superb experience

We did all our transfers, Chobe river cruise and national park day trips with Kalahari Tours and the experience was second to none. We have the most wonderful experiences and our game ranger Obi was outstanding. He found us a rare leopard sighting and our skipper on the boat, Six, steered us within meters of an elephant crossing in the river. Highly recommended tour company.

Highly recommend this tour

A truly amazing experience, Mustafa went above and beyond to give me a fabulous afternoon experiencing all the great pieces of this fabulous city! From the guided experience at the monument, to the one of a kind search for wildlife to the amazing lunch, worth every penny, and then some.

Excellent more informal tour with authentic interactions

Had a great time on this tour last year. Door-to-door service form Gaborone was so convenient. I enjoyed chatting with the guide en route. The guide catered the tour a bit to my interests- I’m a doctor and had a wonderful time talking with a local medicine man and learning about Dr. Merriweather. We even stopped at a shop on the way home to pick up a local beverage one of the local talked about! Overall wonderful experience. I did it as a lone female and felt very safe throughout the day.

Excellent value for amazing experiences.

I'd call my 72y.o. husband and I expert travellers having been to most parts of the world from Australia and NZ over the past 50 years. Some experiences have been 5* but none have surpassed the courtesy and brilliance of Sam and his EARLY KINGFISHER team who hosted just ourselves 9 - 18 March 2025. We started looking after Xmas 2024 and wanted to see the Okavango Delta birdlife in particular. We found Sam on the Botswana Tourism site and reviews on Tripadvisor and his responses were speedy and comprehensive, so we had no difficulty booking; quoted in USD. Sam offers several durations of safaris and is very flexible. He is a 2nd generation tracker and tourism operator who works from Maun into which we flew and stayed for one night in more than adequate accommodation there. We stayed in allocated campsites in Moremi and Savuti, and no, they were not fenced but Sam takes no risks with his guests. His Jeep is comfortable, blankets supplied for the dawn safaris daily, and he is a very safe driver, navigating the enormous puddles that were still evident from months of rain. Tents are set up by his 3 crew (all trained in hospitality) who travel ahead so we were always greeted with cool towels and a drink on arrival at camp, and enjoyed "luxury" camping in a large double bed, warm water supplied when needed for showers and washing; chef made gluten-free bread rolls for me every time bread was served, so we couldn't ask for better service. While we were on our dawn safaris, the beds were made up, and our outer garments taken for washing; each afternoon they were returned ironed (iron with heated coals - perfect pleats!). March seemed a great time to travel; comfortable by day and night and with Sam's excellent tracking abilities we saw, at the closest of quarters, every animal we'd ever dreamt we'd encounter. Lovely people. Great trip. Would enthusiastically endorse for anyone who can climb into a Jeep! We ended with an overnight stay in a B&B in Kasane before our independent trip to Victoria Falls.

Start of 8 night tour at Moremi.

Moremi was the initial campsite we stayed at for 3 nights. It is quote close to Maun into which we flew (from Brisbane, Australia - 29 hours!) and had one night to recover prior to commencing an 8 night camping safari. Excellent introduction to Botswanan game reserves and EARLY KINGFISHER SAFARIS were most informative, with such in-depth knowledge of birdlife and animal habitat and habits. We went in March. The grass was high but the height of the Jeep meant we didn't miss seeing a thing. Excellent camping facilities set up in conservation areas, so you leave behind nothing but your footprints. Environmentally sound approach to tourism by an affordable operator whose comforts were highly appreciated by we septuagenarians.
