This was the BEST excursion ever – 10 stars if possible! A special shout-out to Therry who was our driver – he took us around to a few spots on the island and gave us a lot of information along the way. We ended up running into him a couple more times on the island and he was as pleasant as ever! The kayaking was gorgeous and the snorkeling was fascinating. The lunch on the beach was delicious – I could have done this excursion every day, and it was my favorite of the trip. The crew was very professional and helpful, all very kind people, and you’re supporting the locals!
Training was quick and informative and didn't take much time away from the fun; we did the 12-course zipline experience and while many of them were short, the volume and friendly crew made up for it and kept us smiling. It was a little hard to decipher between "wait" and "okay" to know when to go, but we had no doubt we were in good hands. Worth it to spend a few hours in the forested shade, and the snack/gift shop at the end was the perfect bookend to the experience.
awesome service from plane to car in under ten minutes pick up outside by javon J in a very nice suv a mere 15-20 mins into resort fyi we had checked in unpacked and were by the beach with a cocktail before the sandals mini bus brought the people from our flight highly recommend if you are on a large aircraft from europe also get the vip meets and greet
The path that we took with the horses was very nice, we went through town and up to a lookout where we could see a beach down below – very cool photo ops. Then, riding along Hawksbill beach was very cool. The horses are very sweet and well trained. It seemed they were a healthy weight and that the workers care very much about them. I questioned some of the conditions of the horse’s coat, and was assured the horses were in good health and visit the vet. The facilities appeared very run down, and there is no bathroom for guests to use, so go before you arrive! The transportation was an hour late picking us up from our resort, and upon arrival there was no instruction for mounting the horse, or any explanation of what was going to happen. Fine for experienced riders, but scary for newbies. Wouldn’t recommend for first-timers as the paths we took were very steep and could be quite scary (also no helmets were offered, not sure if they had them). It was worth the money, especially as it’s needed to take care of the lovely horses.
This was a really fun way to see the island – the crew of the catamaran was awesome, professional and so fun. The snacks were varied and plentiful, and there was of course what seemed an endless supply of rum punch and other drinks! We ended up seeing this same catamaran and crew the next day while we were paddle boarding in the ocean and they remembered us and waved! Would definitely recommend!
We turned what was otherwise a rainy day into a great hike with the help of your tour guide Rick. It ended up being just the two of us and Rick and we were right on the water in the rain ... we had fun, while everyone else we spoke with had their excursions rained out.
Giuliana was an absolute star. She was so so helpful, easy to chat to and made the experience ten times better. She is very experienced and we did not have to worry about a thing. From pickup, to stingray city and back we did not feel like we needed to do anything, she had it all in hand! I would absolutely use this tour company should I come back to Antigua and would highly recommend to any others considering going to stingray city or any other tour offered.
We had a great day. Janel showed us the whole island and told us a lot about the history of the island. It was very impressive. She also let us taste a lot of local food and drinks, which was very nice and tasty. Janel is a sweet, friendly lady and if you are looking for a taxi driver, we highly recommend her.
The best part was our guide “Shaq something. Sorry can’t remember her name. She has a daughter named Evie and her husband is a police officer. She was so friendly and personable and answered our many questions! Would have liked to spend less time touring, and more beach time. Expected to visit 3 beaches and only saw 2. Ride on the tuk tuk was pretty rough given the road conditions. Expected more of a golf cart ride experience. The rum punch was a nice touch and the lunch box appreciated. The stop at the local vendor selling jewelry and bbq sauce could be skipped. Had a little trouble finding the tour as it was advertised at the port, when in fact it was several blocks away. Despite all these negative comments we really enjoyed our day and our tour guide and the beautiful island of Antigua!
Andrew was fantastic from start to end. Good conversations good information. Glad he stopped us walking Devils Bridge. Auntie Roots lunch stop, I could have stayed all day and ate proper local island food. Stingrays were an amazing experience. Me and my wife started off brave but soon we’re swarmed by lots of Rays that happily swim around bumping into you. Feeding them was an experience and Guliana made sure we didn’t miss feeding, petting opportunities.
We were only two for this tour (paint piece) and were grouped on another tour that passed painting location without our prior knowledge nor consent. Therefore the parts of the tour that included: "drive to a local art gallery to meet artists displaying their work and learn about local art styles" and "Partake in the painting class while listening to stories of Antigua and taking in the surrounding sugar mill estate landscapes" did NOT occur. Instead scenic tour included a stop an estate with garden and collections of stuff. Tour guide on overall tour was excellent in his presentation but we were disappointed in our unexpected "art" scope of tour. Also tour advertised as two hours that would left us options for balance of port visit for doing other things instead of being captured on this tour for four and a half hours that included an hour of wait time at a beach. Sullied Viator credibility.
We were so pleased with this tour. The guide picked us up on time and greeted us warmly. He gave us a guided tour as he drove us to The Nelson'sDockyard pointing out things along the way. Once we got to the dockyard he offered to take our photo at a popular wedding spot! He then left us for about 30 minutes to explore! We then headed to Shirley's View Point where we saw the most spectacular view of Antigua. After this he took us snorkeling and swam with us pointing out turtles and taking underwater photos of us and for us. We ended up tipping him on top of the price because the tour was that good !
