Overview

Clients may request to have the cooking class in the comfort of their self-catering accommodations and I am happy to come to you. Participation is encouraged and questions are welcome and once we are done I will leave you to enjoy your Delicious Zambian Meal. This experience gives travelers the opportunity to taste a some of Zambia's local delicacy's. Furthermore it allows them to have an inside look at how some of these dishes are prepared and also what ingredients are needed to prepare them.

Itinerary

Clients may request to have the cooking class in the comfort of their self-catering accommodations and I am happy to come to you. Participation is encouraged and questions are welcome and once we are done I will leave you to enjoy your Delicious Zambian Meal. The travelers will be part of an interactive cooking class, where they learn how to prepare traditional Zambian food and have it for Lunch. From the staple maize-meal porridge (nshima) to vegetables such as chibwabwa (pumpkin leaves) and Kalembla (sweet potato leaves), just to mention a few.

A Delightful Dive into Zambian Cuisine

I recently attended a Zambian cooking class at Clare's Destinations, and it was fantastic! The session was insightful, and we learned to prepare delicious dishes like Nshima, Chikanda, and Ifisashi. The cooking instructor was humble, knowledgeable, and incredibly nice, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Very pleasant experience making a really Zambian meal in a Zambian home. Made nshima with okra and rape and beef. Very tasty meal finishing with 2 types of mango and baobab fruit. Clare showed us what to do with great kindness and enthousiasm. Worth wile

It was a fully immersive experience. Clare taught us how to cook a famous Zambian staple Nshima (a maize meal porridge) accompanied with a wide assortment of vegetables like rape, okra and fisashi and a delicious steak.As first timers, cooking the nshima was a bit difficult but still a fun experience! The cooking was great, we cooked nshima and two side dishes (okra and ifisashi). Clare also bought other local dishes, so I could try even more food:) It was a nice afternoon spent with Clare and her friend.
