Itinerary

  • Local Travel Planner

The experience begins when a friendly guide greets you at the meeting point. You'll be part of a small group of no more than 11 travellers aboard a comfortable minibus that takes you south out of the city along the beaches of Botany Bay and through the Royal National Park. First stop is Bald Hill Lookout, a popular launch site for hang gliders and para gliders, which affords sweeping views of the Illawarra coastline and the famous Sea Cliff Bridge. After the break it's just a few minutes drive to the family-run Symbio Wildlife Park which is active in koala conservation. Here you'll find out everything you ever wanted to know about these fascinating marsupials during a private koala experience with a keeper. Snap the ultimate selfie - just you and a koala. You’ll also be able to hand-feed kangaroos and wallabies and get up close to other native Australian wildlife. Next you'll meander along the Grand Pacific Drive traversing the Sea Cliff Bridge as it sweeps out over the ocean, well clear of the crumbling cliffs to which the old highway clung. You’ll continue to follow the scenic coastline to a golden beach where you’ll enjoy lunch in a café popular with locals with views out over the ocean. Bring your swimmers for a dip if the sun is out! In the afternoon you’ll head up through temperate rainforest into the Southern Highlands. An easy hike leads to viewpoints that take in the spectacular sandstone gorges and towering waterfalls of the Morton National Park. Finally, you’ll drive along country roads to a boutique winery to sample locally-produced, cool climate wine before returning to Sydney. Arrival back at Circular Quay is around 6:30pm.

Wanna give a Koala and Kangaroo a scritch? Take this tour.

Published on Feb, 2025

Steve (the “Original Steve”) is a great tour guide with extensive experience with leading tours. Although he is a native, he spent many years in Ecuador, leading a rafting company. He speaks fluent Spanish, English and “Australian’. Symbio wildlife park is an outstanding destination where you can hand-feed Kangaroos and Wallabies. The best part of our trip was getting into the park before it opened, because otherwise, there are HUNdREdS of screaming children there. We got a personal encounter with multiple Koalas, and were allowed to pet them. The exhibits are all spotless, and you can tell the care they take with this park. The animals didn’t appear too stressed and had ample places to hide if they didn’t want to be surrounded with screaming children. This park was the highlight of my trip to Sydney. We also visited Bald Hill and watched hang gliders launch off the cliff and down to Bulli beach below. We traveled along the scenic coastline on the sea cliff bridge, had a great lunch (that included a soda, beer or wine with your meal) We then ventured into Australias oldest National Park; Morton National Parl and viewed the Fitzroy falls and caught a glimpse of a superb lyrebird and heard its (multiple) songs. One silly part of the tour is a drive through the town of Robertson, where you can view their kitschy “Big Potato,” an homage to the potato’s Ro Weston is known for. Finally, the last stop was Centennial Winery in Bowrel, where we tasted multiple wines that were paired with crackers, dried fruit and cheese. On the way home, Steve pulled off the main road to show us a mob of wild Kangaroos. We also saw multiple wild birds, including Cockatoos, gollahs and Rosellas along the way. This was an outstanding trip, and we all enjoyed Steve’s narration and expertise.

Best Excursion Ever!

Published on Feb, 2025

This small group excursion was guided by Steve, who was knowledgeable, engaging and fun. The best guide we’ve had during our three week travels. Our wildlife experience was one-of-a-lifetime and the waterfalls were spectacular. We ended our day with a leisurely wine tasting. If you leave the city for a day, I highly recommend Steve and WWW!

Awe-inspiring wildlife experience and gorgeous scenery.

Outstanding first stop at Symbia wildlife park. You arrive before the park opens to the public and have one on one experiences with the keeper and the koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. The animals are very tame, and you can hand-feed the kangaroos. I was thrilled to be able to touch these magnificent animals. One of the kangaroos absolutely ADORED being scratched under his arms and leaned into it like a puppy dog! It should be noted that holding koalas has been banned in New South Wales, so don’t expect the classic photo of you holding a Koala. But being allowed to give them a scratch on the rump is allowed, and they absolutely have plush, luxurious coats that are wonderful to pet. Our second stop was at a cliff (Bald Hill) where you can watch hang gliders launch, followed by a lovely drive along sea cliff bridge and a great meal at the Bulli beach Cafe, and then you enter Morton national park and visit the Fitzroy falls waterfall. This park has sandstone cliffs that are similar to Blue Hills park. After the Fitzroy Falls stop, you visit a lovely winery, Centennial in Bowrel. Steve, the owner of this company, grew up in Bowrel, and his expertise and knowledge of the area made the trip very memorable. He also knows the best spots to see wild kangaroos and made sure to pull off the main road to show us “mobs” of Eastern Grey Kangaroos in the wild. After this tour, I realized I wasted my time at Taronga Zoo. THIS is the trip you want if you are interested in Australian wildlife. Another bonus of this trip is the abundance of wild parrots (Cockatoos and Rosellas.)

Wildlife Waterfall and Wine to remember!

The WWW tour exceeded our expectations. Tony our guide was outstanding and kept our whole group engaged. Definitely a highlight of our trip Down Under.

A great day trip from Sydney

Published on Feb, 2025

Our trip was memorable from start to finish. Steve our guide kept us both entertained with his humor and informed with his unbelievable knowledge of not only the area but everything. Highlight of the trip was the visit to the koala encounter. We were allowed early admission and spent 15-20 minutes with 5 koalas that couldn’t have been more accommodating. The scenic views of the coastline and the stop at a waterfall gave us pictures that will bring us back to that day. The final stop at the winery relaxed us all for the ride back to the city. I highly recommend this tour.
