Overview

Wild & Fired BBQ School provides a fire-cooking experience in the historic Walled Garden within Brook Hall Estate & Gardens, overlooking the River Foyle in Derry City. Experience Inclusions: - Learning the history of the woodlands and rivers - Learning to make your own fire and experience cooking a wood-fired meal together - Taste and appreciate the difference that local, slow farming makes to Northern Irish produce - Enjoy a smoky snack upon arrival along with a delicious lunch we’ll make together * HERITAGE | Explore the stories, history, and horticulture of the Estate & Gardens on the guided walk through the estate to the BBQ area * ENGAGE | Take time to prepare seasonal produce together * LEARN | Discover how to build and manage a fire, cooking our food to temperature not time * COOK | BBQ a delicious wood-fired meal together on seven different types of barbecues and grills * CONNECT | Connect with each other, nature, and the land through the provenance of our ingredients

As you immerse yourself in our wild & fired bbq experience, you'll not only learn to build and manage your own fire but also gain a deeper appreciation for the quality and flavour of locally sourced ingredients. From the aroma of responsibly sourced hardwoods to the tantalising taste of our award-winning sauces and seasonings, every aspect of your BBQ journey is carefully curated to ensure a memorable and educational experience. Throughout the session, our expert instructors provide coaching and support, giving you the opportunity to refine your skills and learn from the best. With access to premium UK and Irish handcrafted equipment, you'll have everything you need to create culinary masterpieces to remember.

Wonderful Food!

Norm and Emily prepared and served an absolutely wonderful lunch for our tour group after our walk of the Brook Hall Estate grounds and gardens. Offerings included a very tasty and tender slow cooked beef, barbecued chicken, garden fresh vegetables and salad. It was all served in cozy corner of the estate garden under a canopy that offered great protection from the rain. It was a welcome varied taste experience.
