If you want to deepen your knowledge about this prestigious ingredient this is the perfect experience for you! Our authorized guides will accompany you to the nearest & natural truffle area around San Gimignano and teach you all the things that you must know about truffles. After that, the real hunting will start, and with the help of our guides and our four-legged friends, you'll have the chance to try the emotion of finding truffles completely surrounded by nature. At the end of the hunting, drive back to Podere La Marronaia and prepare your palate for an entire truffle lunch paired with a tasting of our organic wines and extra virgin olive oils.

Once in San Gimignano follow the main road towards Certaldo for about 1 km. Pass the crossroad to Fugnano then turn right into a small white road. Turn right again into the first gate with the sign for Podere Le Colonne Parking.

Itinerary

Take part in our truffle hunt with our truffle hunter and savor the true and unique emotion of finding, smelling, and touching one of the most precious fruits of the earth. Our authorized guides will introduce you to the world of truffle hunting, they will teach you to recognize the trees under which they grow, the ideal habitat for truffle growth, and how to cook and store them. With the help of our 4-legged friends, magnificently trained, and the experience of Mirco and Luca, our trusty truffle hunters, immerse yourself 360 degrees in this unique and exciting experience. At the end of the morning, you’ll have the chance to delight your palate with an entire truffle lunch, accompanied by the tasting of our organic wines and oils. Program: Meet our licensed guides at Podere La Marronaia at 9:00 AM. Go to the nearest truffle area and experience the 360 ° truffle hunting experience. Return to Podere La Marronaia and enjoy a truffle-based lunch with a tasting of our organic wines and oils, just after visiting our Vernaccia vineyard and our olive grove.

Amazing experience, we all had a change to follow the dogs and dig for truffles. Overall great experience and definitely will recommend it.

Our Truffle hunting was the best experience!! Luca our truffle hubter was the best and with his super awesome dogs Liky abd Luce! Luca is very knowledgeable and able to explain everything about truffle!! We truly learned alot from him. We also enjoyed lunch and wine tasting! Everything was delicious with truffles!!

Thrilling outdoor excursion

Our guides were absolutely lovely & we had a group of 7 on our tour. They were extremely knowledgeable and the dogs were of course outstanding. We split into 2 groups and each group had a guide and 2 dogs. It was amazing to watch these well trained dogs find the locations where the truffles were growing. If you love animals & nature, this is an activity for you! A little advice..don't wear fancy shoes like one of the ladies in the group. We didn't get muddy, but you are in the woods.

We loved our truffle hunt with Luca and his dogs! We learned so much, and despite the rain, we had a wonderful adventure! Back at Podere la Maronnaia, we enjoyed all things truffle, and some delicious wines (we ordered some too be shipped home!) The staff was friendly and hospitable! Highly recommend!

Luca ( our truffle hunter guide) was just fantastic. His vast knowledge of the dogs, hunting truffles and the truffles themselves kept us engaged the entire trip, we could have done it ALL day! Our dogs, Lilly and Lexie, were just adorable and friendly, we wanted to bring them home with us! Lunch and wine after on the vineyard patio made for an extra special lunch complete with lots of truffles and delicious wine! It was a truly unique experience and worth the splurge!
