Itinerary

From Pier 41 San Francisco, skip the box office line and head straight to the gate to board a ferry and relax on the ride along San Francisco Bay to Sausalito. Along the way, enjoy views of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. This comfortable vessel features several amenities for your comfort and convenience, and drinks and snacks are available for purchase on board. After exploring Sausalito at your own leisure and expense, choose from multiple ferry departure times to return to San Francisco. Sausalito This quaint, charming bayside city tucked among the Marin County hills features a variety of art galleries, boutiques, specialty shops and fine dining. You’ll be greeted by the Elephant Light Standards, a pair of concrete elephants flanking the entrance to Vina Del Mar Park which have come to be a symbol of Sausalito. Take time to meander through the narrow streets at your own pace and enjoy views of the San Francisco skyline. Check out the Bay Model Visitor Center, visit the Bay Area Discovery Museum, rent a kayak, go hiking or biking, or tour the houseboats and marinas.   • Ferries are wheelchair accessible, though boarding ramps may vary in steepness due to tides. Please advise in Special Requirements at time of booking if wheelchair assistance is required.
  • Wheelchair-accessible restroom facilities are available aboard all ferries, however wheelchair tie-downs are not currently available
  • Animals are permitted on the ferries but must be leashed at all times. Owners remain wholly responsible for their animals.

Great and easy way to reach Sausalito from and to San Francisco.

Great and on time ferry service. I bought the tickets directly at their office at Pier 39 in San Francisco and the lady working there was very friendly. It was not high season despite being a weekend and we had plenty room in the ferry. The disembark in San Francisco was very well organized by the staff because it has mostly people with bikes and they have to wait first all the others to get off from the ferry.

Sunny trip across the Bay

Pleasant trip across the Bay, staff excellent. Easy to get tickets at Fisherman's Wharf and you can buy them on the boat for the return trip as they are sold as two singles, so you can bike the Golden Gate Bridge and return by ferry.

Excellent value for money

We caught the ferry to Fishermans Wharf twice. Pay $8 by Clipper when you board, otherwise its $14 for a ticket. While in Sausilito there are some shops and cafes and nice places to walk along the bay. There is also a good ice cream parlour with coffee, candies, fudge and chocolate. The ferry to Fishermans Wharf takes you right behind Alcatraz and there are good views of the city.

Good views and excellent customer relations. Rhe expectations was high but they met them far and beyond.it was slight windy but lot of space inside to view.

Enjoyed our ferry ride to Sausalito in both directions. Discounted price for seniors. We sat at the bow of the boat while windy had the best views.
