Scenic Paradise

The views and scenery was amazing, the walks around the island are so enjoyable, cobbled streets architecture, many places to stop and eat, and enjoy the views it is paradise, Isola Bella was for us the most stunning of the Islands, we visited them all over two days.

Our day in Orta San Giulio with Micaela turned to be a highlight of our 10 days in the Italian Lakes. Micaela arranged for her husband David to drive us there and back from our base in Stresa, as well as to drive us to the top of the Sacro Monte, which was an unexpected pleasure. Micaela’s explanations there as well as on the San Giulio island gave us a real appreciation of the history and significance of this special place. The village itself is lovely, and we enjoyed a lakeside lunch before Micaela’s private tour. She is truly a gifted guide and a charming, kind person. Book as early as you can, since Micaela is rightfully in high demand.
