Overview

Tasting Pompeii Tour is a guided tour lasting about 15 minutes, inside a historical scenario, around the 4 hectares of property of Bosco de' Medici Winery, close to the Archeological Site of Pompeii. The tour includes the following stages: 1. The Experimental Vineyard: farm owned rows, grew in Piedirosso, Aglianico, Caprettone and Falanghina. 2. Historical Structures: a portion of the archeological site of Pompeii; an irrigation channel built by Bourbons, the ancient kings of Naples; and the ruins of a family villa fo'rom the 18th century, where we have started to produce wine in the cellar underneath, inside some terracotta amphorae underground 3. The wine cellar, equipped with stainless steel silos, wooden barrels and terracotta amphorae 4. Wine and Lunch Tasting

Nello was amazing. The entire staff was very patient and gracious when we ran into some transportation issues and had to walk 40 minutes to get there, subsequently making us quite late. It was very fun, relaxing, and delicious. I would absolutely recommend

I'm a tour leader, so sometimes I accompany some groups from the cruise ships for wine tasting at Bosco dei Medici. I'd like to highlight how well organized everything is and above all that the guests are taken great care of. Last time we went there we were met by Nello, who is very passionate about taking the guests through the vineyards and sharing a lot of information with them. He's very knowledgable and his English is fluent, that makes the experience even better. Absolutely recommended! Maia

Excellent for Wine, food and history lovers

Had prebrooked this well before traveling. We were met by initial host Jasmine who took us on a tour by cart of the modern vineyard and gave us a great account of both the history and current operation of the vineyard including seeing its impressive past. At the tasting we had a welcome drink of Brute followed by a 4 course lunch with 4 delicious wines presented by our educated sommelier Sabine (may have got name wrong, sorry if so!) . Great food courses and fun to pair.
