The cycle adventure starts at Arthurs Seat with incredible views from Port Phillip Bay to Melbourne's city skyline. Pedal past vineyards, boutique breweries & local market gardens with the sounds & sights of native fauna & flora complemented by beautiful coastal scenery. Take it at your own pace, tasting local food & wine along your journey. Cycling Vine Tours suggest some great eateries for lunch; alternatively collect local treats from produce shops & farm gates for a picnic lunch. End the day with a delicious wine tasting at Stonier Estate, renowned for cool climate wines. You have the freedom to explore & wander off the beaten track as you experience this extraordinary coastal cool climate food & wine region.

Cycling is mainly on shared tracks and rail trails. The experience on the Mornington Peninsula is quite intimate and you'll have time to enjoy local food & wine tastings with extraordinary views to match.

    Enjoy a leisurely cycle on historic Merricks Red Hill Rail Trail with the sights and sounds of native fauna & flora. Along the way see glimpses of Westernport bay and local vineyards. At the end of the trail arrive at Stonier Winery, renowned for cool climate wine on the Mornington Peninsula. Originally The Red Hill railway line was a rural railway branching off from the Stony Point railway line at Bittern. It opening on 2 December 1921 and closing on 1 July 1953. It is a shared use track for cyclists, walkers and horse riders.

Awesome cycling in the Mornington Peninsula

Couldn’t have been happier with our two days cycling on the Mornington Peninsula. Allison’s knowledge of the area and tailor made routes ticked all the boxes for us. The first day took us up the coast whilst the second went through the forests and vineyards. Excellent lunch at Merricks Stores on the second day again recommended by Allison. This cycling trip will definitely be one of the highlights of our holiday, big thanks Allison definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing Bike Adventure Cycling Vine Tours

My friends and I had a wonderful experience riding from Arthur's Seat down to Merricks Store. Allison was fantastic to deal with from booking the experience to making sure everything went smoothly on the day. We felt so well looked after. This was our second time doing the bike ride, we could easily go a third time and stop at different wineries and restaurants along the way. There is so much to do in the Red Hill area. We stopped at Mock Red Hill for coffee and cider, then had lunch at Epicurean before heading to Stonier for wine tasting and Merricks store to purchase some wines we discovered on our last adventure! Great way to spend the day with some friends! Highly recommend Cycling Vine Tours for a truly memorable experience!

Wonderful Mtn Bike thru Morningside Peninsula

Allison was super responsive & flexible arranging our ride, modifying times to accommodate us. Lovely scenery, good mtn bike (average challenge) rewarded by a nice lunch after at Merricks Country Store, a local gem which Allison booked for us. Make sure you stop in to Pt. Leo’s Winery for a world class modern sculpture garden and ocean views!

I recently went on a winery bike tour in Red Hill and it was an absolute delight! From start to finish, the day was flawlessly organised and packed with stunning scenery, delicious food and outstanding wine. The cycle was easy to manage, even for a casual cyclist, with mostly flat downhill terrain. Highly recommend for wine lovers and anyone looking for a fun day out!
