Itinerary

  • Ain Khudra

    Start at 08:00 am from Dahab and drive by Jeep to White Canyon. The White Canyon, a splendid example of eroded sandstone, its floor awash with white powdered sand. Its narrow, winding path opens up to plateaus of harsh desert and then narrows again, until the exit at the oasis of Ain Khudra. It’s a beautiful place with date palms and water springs that have been home to Bedouin tribes for over one thousand years. There you will have 1 hour for walking. You will then visit Ain Khudra Oasis, drink Bedouin tea there. Then drive for 40 minutes to see the Mushroom Rock. Stay there for about 20 minutes and then have lunch in a Bedouin Village. After lunch, you will go walking for 1 hour through Salama Canyon. Then drive for 20 minutes to the Inscription Rock. Return to Dahab at 04:00 pm.

Inspiring trip to astonishing canyons!

Our guide Mohammed made the trip special! He made every effort to make us relax, enjoy the calm of desert, pay attention to features of mountains, pointed out opportunities to take stunning photos, told about history of the places we were visiting. Seeing his effort to keep the trails clean was very inspiring. The canyons were astonishing, riding 4x4s through desert exciting and quite shaking.

Really loved both canyons. Rock formations are amazing. The stop for lunch was also great with Bedouin tea.
