Overview

Immerse yourself in Italy's culture with this hands-on cooking class held in a local home and led by an expert Italian home cook. Learn the secrets of the most iconic Bologna dishes and taste the fruit of your labour for lunch or dinner with local wines included. You'll have a fully equipped workstation with utensils and ingredients and your local host will reveal the tricks of the trade of 3 authentic Bologna recipes (starter, fresh pasta and dessert) handed down by generations of mammas and nonnas. After the class, sit down at the table with your Italian family and taste everything you have prepared accompanied by a selection of local wines. This experience is held by Cesarine, Italy’s oldest network of home cooks and wine experts. Cesarine are passionate and welcoming hosts that open the doors of their own homes to curious travellers for immersive culinary experiences. Every host is reviewed for authentic culinary traditions.

When in Bologna, cook with Rosa

Rosa was a wonderful teacher, gracious host, and absolute joy. My wife and I very much enjoyed the cooking class, and we would definitely do this experience again.

This was a wonderful experience! We selected the cooking class because the weather was rainy and we thought it would be a fun indoor activity. Our host picked us up and drove us to the family home. There we learned how to make 3 dishes with his wife and son. We had the best time!! I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This was a wonderful experience! Hands-on in the comfort of Margherita's home. Margherita was a charming and knowledgable teacher. We learned to make two kinds of delicious pasta as well as tiramisu. What a fun day! We came home and practiced what we had learned and impressed all of our friends. Highly recommend!

The highlight of our time in Bologna! Roberta is a passionate and thoughtful chef, who took her time to tech us. It was incredible to be invited into her beautiful home. It felt like a combination of a cooking class and having a private chef cook your dinner with the extra care she took - and the amazing wine!
