Overview

Experience the island's natural wonders and visit Hunte's Gardens or Flower Forest . Next make a stop in Bathsheba, famous for its breathtaking beauty and pounding surf, stop and enjoy a tasty lunch full of local flavor. The final stop for the day will be the Barbados Wildlife Reserve where you can catch the Green Monkeys at play along with a wide variety of other animals. We visit the Reserve at feeding time to give you the best opportunity to see the monkeys.

    Flower Forest Botanical Gardens is a horticultural park and tourist attraction near the village of Bloomsbury, Saint Joseph in Barbados. It is a scenic garden park with attractive flowering plants and tropical trees. The 50-acre property was formerly a sugar plantation.

  • Bathsheba Beach

    Bathsheba is located on the Eastern coastline of Barbados. It is said that this area was named after the wife of King David whose name was “Bathsheba”. Legend has it that she bathed in milk to keep her skin beautiful and soft, and the rolling surf waters of Bathsheba’s “Soup Bowl” resembled Bathsheba’s bath. The area is popular with surfers. It is a popular area for locals and visitors alike and is dotted with several seaside cottages.

  • Barbados Wildlife Reserve

    The Barbados Wildlife Reserve lies in an enclosed area under a canopy of mahogany trees with winding red brick pathways beneath. If you look closely at the bricks, you can still see the stamps of the manufacturing companies. The bricks were brought to Barbados by ships, which used them as ballast. During the 17th and 18th centuries, these red bricks were used to construct boiler furnaces in Barbados sugar factories. The large wheel in front of the snack bar was acquired from an old sugar factory and was once used to drive rollers for crushing the sugar cane. The most popular animal at the Reserve is The Barbados Green Monkey. The monkey has brown and grey thick fur that has yellow and olive green flecks in it as an adult. In some lights, the monkey can appear green. This is why they are called green monkeys. Barbados Green Monkeys generally live in groups of fifteen to twenty. Within a family group, males gain their dominance by their size, strength and their ability to fight. Females, however, get their rank by the size of their families. Most infants are born during April and May.

  • The stop at St Nicholas Abbey will involve customers that will be doing different options at St Nicholas Abbey. Some will be doing the train, some the house and some the Combo. If you are only doing the house or the train there will be some wait time involved until the Combo guest return. It is a very beautiful area and you are welcome to enjoy the surroundings as you wait.

I just returned from the most fantastic day in Barbados! Thanks to Glynn, from Beautiful Barbados Tours & Excursions He was prompt picking me up. Very knowledgeable and very proud of his island. I’ve had many excursions, but today’s was top notch. When he dropped me off at my hotel I was just thrilled with my day. The tour met all my expectations and more. Garden and Wildlife

The monkeys were so beautiful to watch and all the animals were fun to observe. Hunts garden had so many gorgeous plants. Our tour guide Glyne was very kind and knowledgeable. He was so easy to talk to. Highly recommend going!

Enjoyable tour with a knowledgeable tour guide, Gline. The monkey feeding really made the animal sanctuary tour. Our highlight was the Hunter's Garden. Such a beautiful oasis. There was an international surfing competition going on at the Bathsheba Beach which was an added bonus.
