If you have time for a gastronomic experience during your vacation, it will be very informative, fun, but also peaceful. You will learn how to transform good food into a delicious and traditional menu. ◾️ You can celebrate your anniversary with candles. ◾️ Bari market tour extra €30 per person. only for private groups. The visit lasts an hour, you can taste the typical products, we will do the shopping for lunch, I will explain intelligent recipes. ▪️Customized menu only for private groups (no gluten free)

Itinerary

◾️experience of traditional Apulian cuisine with Juanita in the well-connected area 10 minutes from the train station , close to the shopping streets and cultural historical attractions that characterize the city such as; the old city , the beautiful Cathedral, the Basilica, Palazzo Fizzarotti Petruzzelli theater and much more. The lesson will take place every day at 10am or 4pm. I will explain to you in an engaging, clear and simple way how to turn food into a delicious meal. If you have time for an Apulian gastronomic experience during your trip, it will be very instructive, fun and active. ◾️If you want a full dining experience, the market tour is available (extra). I will explain the typical products, and the dishes that can be made.

This was a wonderful experience. Juanita was so gracious and welcoming. She taught us extremely well not only about what we were making but about the region and all it has to offer.

This experience was exceptional. Juanita gave us a history of Bari and what is was like growing up there. Her English/Italian accent was reminiscent of my great grandmother’s We added the market experience and was again a lesson in local daily life. We had a lot of laughs. Great food and came home with some new recipes. Highly recommend for an intimate experience.

Amazing authentic Apulian homemade meal!

This was one of the most authentic Apulian experiences my husband and I had. It was my husband’s birthday and I chose a cooking class at Juanita’s house. She was the most gracious host and with much patience she taught me and my husband how to make orecchiette pasta and foccacia. It felt so personal bc it was just the two of us in Juanita’s house: sitting at her table, sipping wine and eating Apulian delicacies. She served marinated zucchini with olive oil and mint, roasted peppers with garlic and oil, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes, and with much patience she taught us how to make the dough for the foccacia, the dough for the pasta and taught us how to roll the dough with a serrated knife to make the cute “little ears” that are the shape of the pasta. After we sat and ate the orecchiette with pesto (that’s what we chose) and focaccia which had chunks of tomatoes with the tomato juice poured over the foccacia. She added olive oil then baked in the oven. Everything was fresh and delicious and AMAZING!!! Juanita was fantastic! She was funny and had some great stories and history about her family. She was even kind and thoughtful and mad a tiramisu for my husband’s bday. It was a total surprise! I was taken aback by her sweetness. I didn’t want the day to end :’(
